Ruger does not produce firearms in serial number order. I bought a nice Old Model Single-Six today to have some fun with. 222 diameter bore, made for the 22 caliber, shorts, longs, long rifle. There are occasions when blocks of serial numbers have been manufactured out of sequence, sometimes years later.

I have been trying to date it with the serial number on the Ruger Website but I'm having a problem. Single-six, 5 1/2 bbl., s/n 428232, magnum cylinder only, could this be could this be magnum only just not marked as such This s/n would put it in that category.
